Questions and answers

Is the M712dn worth it?
Yes if you print high volumes of mono A3 or letter documents and want low running costs. At $2,537.00 at directmacro.com as of November 3, 2026, it is a poor fit for light printing.
How does it compare with the M712n?
The M712dn adds automatic duplex printing, which the M712n lacks. Both share the same 40 ppm engine and paper handling options.
Does it support wireless printing?
It is listed with wireless support, but the primary connections are USB and Ethernet. Confirm the wireless option with the seller before relying on it.
What is the maximum paper capacity?
Up to 4,600 sheets with optional trays. The standard configuration holds far less, so budget for extra trays if you need that capacity.
What comes in the box?
The printer, a starter toner cartridge, power cord, and setup documentation. A full-yield toner and extra trays are sold separately.
When is it cheapest?
Enterprise printers rarely discount deeply. Watch for end-of-quarter and bundle deals, and compare the six stores listing it new rather than buying at the first price you see.
