Our take on the Hudson&Canal Bruno Tripod Floor Lamp

The Hudson&Canal Bruno is a 56-inch tripod floor lamp in brass-finished metal with a dome shade. It takes one E26 bulb up to 100W, so LED, CFL or incandescent all work. There is no dimmer and no adjustability: it is a fixed on/off lamp. At $35.19 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, well under the typical $60 to $100 this lamp has sold for.

Best forShoppers furnishing a living room or bedroom on a tight budgetRenters who want a brass accent without hardwiringReading nooks and corners that need a tall, slim lightBuyers who already own E26 LED bulbs
Pros
  • Tall 56-inch height lights a seating area from above
  • Tripod base is stable and takes little floor space
  • Standard E26 socket fits cheap, widely available A19 bulbs
  • Accepts LED, CFL or incandescent up to 100W
  • Light at 5 lbs, easy to move between rooms
Cons
  • No dimmer, only a plain on/off switch
  • Height and shade angle are fixed
  • Metal dome shade can look harsh and casts light mostly downward
  • Brass finish is thin on some units, per owner reports
  • Assembly and shade alignment take some fiddling

Questions and answers

Is $35.19 a good price for the Bruno tripod lamp?
Yes. At $35.19 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026, it is near the bottom of what this lamp has sold for. It has often run $60 or more, so this is a strong entry point.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. It takes one E26 A19 bulb up to 100W, and you supply it. An LED bulb runs cool and keeps the metal shade from getting hot.
Can I dim it?
Not with the built-in switch, which is plain on/off. For dimming you would need a smart or dimmable bulb plus a compatible dimmer plug or smart control.
How tall is it, and can I adjust it?
It stands 56 inches tall with a 14-inch footprint. Height and shade angle are fixed, so check that 56 inches suits your seating before buying.
Where does it work best?
Indoors, in a corner beside a sofa or reading chair. The dome shade throws light mostly downward, so it suits task and accent lighting more than room-wide glow.
Is it sturdy enough for a busy household?
The tripod base is stable and the lamp weighs about 5 lbs. It is light enough to tip if bumped hard, so keep it out of walkways.
Where is the Hudson&Canal Bruno Tripod Floor Lamp cheapest?
At Kohl's, for $35.19, 29% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Hudson&Canal Bruno Tripod Floor Lamp?
Rated 4 out of 5 from 5 ratings.
Where can I buy the Hudson&Canal Bruno Tripod Floor Lamp?
7 stores we checked sell it, including Kohl's, Overstock, eBay, AFA Stores, Bed Bath & Beyond.
