Our take on the Hugo&Borg Riviera 34.5-in H x 24-in D Bright White Sink Base Fully Assembled Cabinet

The Hugo&Borg Riviera is a 36-inch-wide sink base cabinet in a matte bright white painted Shaker finish, 34.5 inches tall and 24 inches deep. It arrives fully assembled with two soft-close hinged doors and one shelf, and the open sink configuration leaves room for plumbing. The frame is furniture board with MDF doors, a mid-tier build rather than solid wood. At $399.74 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Pros
  • Fully assembled, so it installs straight from the box
  • Soft-close hinges on both doors
  • Clean matte bright white painted finish
  • Standard 24-inch depth fits most base cabinet runs
  • Transitional Shaker door suits many kitchen styles
Cons
  • MDF doors and furniture-board frame, not solid wood
  • Only one shelf and no drawers, so storage is basic
  • No toe kick included
  • Single listing at $399.74 gives no price history to judge the deal
  • Few ratings so far, so long-term durability is unproven

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet worth $399.74?
It is a fair price for a fully assembled 36-inch painted Shaker sink base. You pay a premium over flat-pack cabinets for skipping assembly. With only one store listing it new, there is no lower recent price to wait for.
Does it come fully assembled?
Yes. The listing says no assembly is required, so the box arrives built and you set it in place and level it.
Will it fit my sink and plumbing?
It is a sink base, so the back is open for plumbing, and the 36-inch width fits standard single-bowl and many double-bowl sinks. Check your sink's cutout against the 36-inch width before ordering.
What is it made of?
The frame is furniture board and the doors are MDF with a painted matte finish. It is not solid wood, which is typical at this price.
Does it include a toe kick?
No. The listing lists no toe kick, so plan to add a matching toe kick or base trim yourself.
How does it compare with the Riviera drawer base?
The drawer base gives you drawers instead of a sink opening. Choose this one only if you need plumbing clearance under a sink.
