Our take on the Hultafors Ergonomic Tool Carrier

The Hultafors Ergonomic Tool Carrier is an open, soft-sided tool bag built around a curved back and a higher rear wall, so it sits more comfortably against the body and holds more tools at the back while the low front keeps contents visible. It has 25 pockets and holders, a zippered side pocket, a tape clip, a molded base and a fold-away handle with an extra-long rubber grip. The 1680D ballistic polyester shell and a rain and dust cover suit outdoor and cold-site work, tested to -20°C. At $129.64 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what the three new listings show.

Questions and answers

Is the Hultafors Ergonomic Tool Carrier worth it over a hard toolbox?
It suits trades who carry tools between sites and want open, visible access. A hard box protects better and can be locked, but this bag is lighter to carry and holds more small tools in its 25 pockets.
How much weight can it carry?
The 60 kg figure is a static load rating for the bag at rest, not a weight to carry by the handle. Realistic loads are a normal set of hand tools plus a few power tools.
Does it keep tools dry outdoors?
It comes with a rain and dust cover, and the 1680D polyester shell is tested to -20°C. The open top means you should fit the cover when leaving it out in rain.
What fits in the 25 pockets?
The pockets and holders take screwdrivers, pliers, a tape on the clip and smaller tools, with a zippered side pocket for sensitive items. The high back holds longer tools upright.
Is the shoulder strap included?
Yes. It has an adjustable shoulder strap with anti-slip padding, plus the fold-away handle with an extra-long rubber grip.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $129.64 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. Check the price history before buying to see whether that is below the usual range.
Where is the Hultafors Ergonomic Tool Carrier cheapest?
