Is the BRIMNES dressing table worth it?

Yes if you need a cheap, space-saving vanity for a small room. Skip it if you want solid wood or deep drawers.

How does it compare with a freestanding vanity?

It mounts to the wall, so it takes no floor space, but it holds less and depends on good wall anchoring. Freestanding vanities are sturdier and easier to move.

What are the dimensions?

It is 70 cm wide, 42 cm deep, and about 30 inches high at the tabletop. Check your wall space and the mirror's swing before buying.

Does it come with wall fasteners?

IKEA includes some fixings, but you need fasteners suited to your wall material. Use anchors rated for the loaded weight.

Can it be used as a desk?

Yes, the top is about 30 inches high and 70 cm wide, enough for a laptop and notebook. The fold-down mirror must stay up while you work.

IKEA rarely discounts it deeply; the best prices come during IKEA family sales and seasonal promotions. Watch the price history rather than expecting frequent drops.

Our take on the IKEA BRIMNES Dressing Table with Mirror

The IKEA BRIMNES is a wall-mounted white dressing table with a built-in mirror that folds down over a shallow storage compartment. It measures 70 cm wide and 42 cm deep, with a tabletop about 30 inches high, so it works as a compact vanity or a small desk. Particleboard with paper foil and plastic edging keeps the price low, but it is not a solid-wood piece. It is a budget staple that sells at IKEA's standard price most of the year, with the best savings usually during IKEA family or seasonal sales.
