Is the IULULU 6-inch mattress worth it?

For a bunk, guest or kids' bed on a tight budget, yes. At $92.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest certified foam mattresses around. Adults over about 200 lb should look at a thicker mattress.

How long does it take to expand?

IULULU says up to 72 hours, though many owners report full size within minutes to a day. Give it a full three days before judging the feel.

What size will I get?

The listing mixes Twin, Twin XL and Full measurements, so confirm the size on the order before buying. The stated dimensions are 75 x 54 x 6 inches, which matches a Full, not a Twin.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It works on slatted frames, platform beds and bunkie boards. Use a solid or closely slatted base so the foam doesn't sag through gaps.

Is the cover washable?

Yes. The quilted jacquard cover zips off and can be cleaned, which helps on kids' beds.

Thin foam mattresses like this one usually drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Compare both stores before buying; the gap is often a few dollars.
