Is the Jackson JS11 worth it for a beginner?

Yes, at $209.99 at Guitar Center as of November 4, 2026 it is a reasonable first electric. Expect to pay for a setup and possibly new strings, but the neck and body are solid for the money.

How does the JS11 compare with the JS22?

The JS22 adds a bound neck, better pickups and a more refined tremolo, and costs more. The JS11 is the cheaper entry point if budget is the priority.

Does the JS11 have a tremolo?

Yes, it has a 2-point fulcrum tremolo. It handles light vibrato, but heavy dive bombs will pull it out of tune.

What strings does the JS11 come with?

Our take on the Jackson Dinky JS11 Electric Guitar

The Jackson Dinky JS11 is a budget solid-body electric aimed at new players and anyone wanting a fast, pointy Superstrat. It pairs a poplar body with a bolt-on maple neck, a 25.5-inch scale and a 2-point fulcrum tremolo, and comes in gloss black, snow white and metallic red or blue. The best new price is $209.99 at Guitar Center as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. That sits at the low end of where this model usually sells, so it is a fair time to buy.
