Will this fit my Jetboil stove?

Yes. It uses the standard threaded Lindal-style valve that Jetboil stoves and most canister burners accept. It will not fit pierceable or Campingaz-style stoves.

How long does a 450 g canister last?

Roughly 8 to 10 liters of water boiled for one or two people, depending on wind, temperature and stove setting. Expect less in cold or windy conditions.

Is it worth it over the smaller 100 g or 230 g canisters?

For trips of three days or more, yes: you carry less packaging per gram of fuel. For a single overnight, the smaller sizes are lighter and cheaper.

Does it work below freezing?

It runs, but weaker. The propane share helps ignition and early output, then performance drops as the canister cools. Keep the canister warm or use a liquid-feed stove for real winter use.

Can the canister be refilled?

No. It is a single-use, non-refillable canister. Check local rules for recycling or disposing of empties.

Fuel canisters rarely go on deep discount; the current $10.66 at Scandinavian Outdoor as of November 8, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range. Buying several at once spreads shipping cost.

Our take on the Jetboil Jet Power Gas 450g

The Jet Power 450g is Jetboil's screw-on fuel canister, a propane-butane blend for Jetboil stoves and other threaded canister burners. At 450 g it is the large size in the Jet Power line, meant for multi-day trips and group cooking rather than a single overnight. At $10.66 at Scandinavian Outdoor as of November 8, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this canister has cost recently, with only two stores listing it new.
