What stoves does this canister fit?

It uses the standard threaded Lindal valve, so it fits Primus canister stoves and most other threaded canister stoves. It will not work on pierce-style or liquid-fuel stoves.

How much water can one 100 g canister boil?

Expect roughly 8 to 12 liters of boiled water in mild conditions, depending on stove efficiency and wind. Cold weather and wind reduce that.

Is this mix good for winter camping?

Better than pure butane, because the propane keeps pressure up as temperatures drop. Below freezing, warm the canister in a pocket or use a stove with a preheat coil.

No. It is a disposable canister; refilling is unsafe. Recycle it where gas canister recycling is accepted.

Our take on the Primus Power Gas 100g

The Primus Power Gas 100g is a single 100 g canister of propane-butane mix for canister-top camping stoves and lanterns. It weighs about 0.4 lb and measures roughly 3.5 inches across, so it packs into a pot or side pocket. The blend is built for cold-weather use, where straight butane struggles. At $5.26 at Scandinavian Outdoor as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
