Questions and answers

Is $34.99 a good price for this crate?
It is the only new price listed, $34.99 at Target as of November 3, 2026. For a folding steel crate with a tray, that is inexpensive, so there is little reason to wait for a deeper cut.
Will airlines accept it in the cabin?
The maker says the dimensions meet IATA crate specs, but airlines set their own rules. Confirm with your carrier before flying, since most require the pet to fly as checked baggage or cargo in a hard crate.
What size dog fits a 24-inch crate?
The 32.7 x 19.7 x 23.6 inch interior suits medium adult dogs, roughly 25 to 50 lbs depending on build. Measure your dog standing and lying down before buying.
Does it leak?
The ABS tray is described as 100% leakproof and tested with 2 liters of water. It slides out for hosing down, so clean it away from carpets.
How much assembly is needed?
It ships requiring assembly, though the folding frame keeps setup simple. Expect to attach panels and the tray rather than build from scratch.
What is in the box?
The crate, the slide-out ABS tray and rubber foot pads are included. A bed or mat is not listed, so plan to add one.
Where is the JIONJOY Heavy Duty Steel Dog Crate Airline Approved Pet Kennel with Lock cheapest?
At Target, for $34.99, as of our latest check.
