Is the Jofran Claremont 48 inch table solid wood?

No. The main material is MDF with wood, and the legs are wood. The top is MDF and wood, so it is a veneered or engineered build, not solid hardwood throughout.

Does it have storage?

Yes. It has a lower shelf under the tabletop, useful for books, baskets or a tray.

Yes. It has casters, so you can move it for cleaning or to open up floor space. Check that the casters suit your flooring, since hard wheels can scuff wood or tile.

The tabletop is 48 inches wide. That is on the large side for a coffee table, so it pairs best with a sofa around 84 inches or longer.

Is $719.75 a good price?

Only one store lists it new at $719.75 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing price to compare. For an MDF-and-wood table with a shelf and casters, that is a mid-to-high price; compare it with similar 48-inch tables before deciding.

What comes in the box?

The table ships unassembled, with the top, shelf, legs, casters and hardware. Assembly is required.

Our take on the Jofran Claremont 48 Inch Wood

The Jofran Claremont is a 48-inch rectangular coffee table in a brown wood finish, built from MDF and wood with a lower shelf and casters. The shelf gives you a place for books, trays or remotes, and the casters let you roll it out of the way. It is a large, fairly traditional piece, so measure your room before buying. The best new price is $719.75 at 1stopbedrooms as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful recent price range to compare against.
