Our take on the JOYRACER 24V Kids Electric Drift Go-Kart

The JOYRACER 24V Kids Electric Drift Go-Kart is a battery-powered ride-on kart for kids, built around a 24-volt system and a drift-style rear setup that lets it slide on smooth pavement. It sits at the higher end of kid ride-ons on power, which means more speed and quicker acceleration than 12V karts. The best new price is $269.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against right now.

Best forKids roughly 6 and up who want speed and slidingFamilies with a flat driveway, patio or smooth lotParents who want a step up from a 12V ride-onOlder kids ready for a two-pedal, steering-wheel kart
Pros
  • 24V power gives noticeably more speed and torque than 12V karts
  • Drift-style rear wheels slide on smooth hard surfaces
  • Go-kart seating and steering feel more grown-up than a sit-on car
  • Single price point keeps the buying decision simple
Cons
  • Only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition
  • Drift play needs smooth pavement and wears rear tires faster
  • 24V batteries take hours to charge and add weight
  • No spare-parts or service network is widely known for this brand
  • Not suited to grass, gravel or steep slopes

Questions and answers

Is the JOYRACER 24V drift go-kart worth $269.99?
At $269.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it is priced like other 24V kid karts. It is worth it if your kids have smooth pavement to drift on; if they mostly ride on grass or gravel, a 12V ride-on costs less and works better there.
How fast does a 24V kids go-kart go?
Most 24V kid karts top out around 10 to 15 mph depending on rider weight and surface. Expect the higher end on smooth, flat pavement and slower speeds uphill or on rough ground.
How long does the battery last and how long to charge?
Typical 24V kid kart batteries run 45 minutes to about 1.5 hours of riding and take 8 to 12 hours to recharge. Charge it fully after each use and store it indoors in cold weather.
What age and size is it for?
Karts like this are usually aimed at kids around 6 to 12, with weight limits commonly near 130 lb. Check the seat-to-pedal reach for your child, since a 24V kart is bigger than a toddler ride-on.
Can it drift on grass or gravel?
No. The drift setup relies on low-grip rear tires sliding on smooth hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt. On grass or gravel it will just spin or bog down.
When is the price likely to be lowest?
Ride-on prices usually dip around Black Friday and in late spring. With only one store listing it new as of November 3, 2026, watch that listing for markdowns rather than expecting a store-to-store price war.
Where is the JOYRACER 24V Kids Electric Drift Go-Kart cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $269.99, as of our latest check.
