Our take on the Joystone 1:14 RC Car for Adults 30+ MPH Fast 4WD Remote Control Car with 2 Batteries

The Joystone is a 1:14-scale four-wheel-drive monster truck built for adults, with a full-metal drivetrain and a claimed top speed of 32 mph. It runs on two included 7.4V 1600mAh LiPo packs for a combined 60 minutes of runtime, and the 35A 2-in-1 ESC handles throttle and steering. It is a hobby-grade basher rather than a toy, so expect real speed and real repair needs. No current store price was provided, so check the price history before buying.

Best forAdults who want a fast off-road basherBackyard and park dirt or gravel runningBuyers who want two batteries in the boxFirst hobby-grade RC after toy cars
Pros
  • Full-metal drivetrain holds up better than plastic gears
  • 32 mph top speed is quick for a 1:14 truck
  • Two 1600mAh LiPo packs give about 60 minutes total
  • Proportional throttle and steering for controlled driving
  • 4WD and monster-truck tires suit grass, dirt and gravel
Cons
  • AA batteries for the controller are not included
  • At 6.1 lb it is heavy for its size and hits hard in a crash
  • No listed parts support or spare-parts availability
  • Fast speeds mean breakage risk for new drivers
  • Battery specs list both LiPo and AA, which is confusing

Questions and answers

Is 32 mph too fast for a beginner?
It is fast for a first hobby truck. Run it on open ground and start at low throttle; proportional control helps, but crashes at 32 mph break parts.
How long does the battery last?
Joystone claims 60 minutes from the two included 1600mAh 7.4V LiPo packs, roughly 30 minutes each. Real runtime drops in grass or at full throttle.
What do I need to buy separately?
Three AA batteries for the controller. The truck, two LiPo packs and the charger come in the box.
Is it really 1:14 scale?
The listing says 1:14, but the specs also list 1/12 scale. At 13 inches long and 6.1 lb, it is closer to a large 1:14 truck.
Can I get spare parts?
No parts list or spares program is given. Before buying, confirm that the seller stocks arms, gears and tires, or a break ends the truck's life.
When is the price lowest?
RC trucks of this class usually drop around Black Friday and back-to-school sales. Check the price history chart for the recent low.
