Do I need a box spring with this bed frame?

No. The frame comes with slats, so a mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would only add height.

What mattress size fits it?

It comes in queen and king. This listing is the king, which is about 78.3 in wide and 83.2 in long, so use a standard king mattress.

How much weight does it hold?

The frame is rated for up to 600 lb total.

Is the headboard padded?

Yes. The headboard is upholstered in canvas over padding, which is softer to lean against than a wood or metal headboard.

Is $373.12 a good price?

Only one store lists it new, so there is no recent range to judge against. At $373.12 at The Home Depot as of November 7, 2026, it is a low price for an upholstered king frame with slats.
