Questions and answers

Is a blade grinder good enough for coffee?
For drip, French press and percolator it works fine, and 15 seconds covers up to 12 cups. For espresso you want a burr grinder, because a blade leaves uneven particles.
Can it grind spices and nuts too?
Yes. Krups lists spices, dry herbs and nuts among its main uses, and the stainless steel blade handles them. Clean it well between coffee and spices so flavors don't carry over.
Does it shut off automatically?
No. It is one-touch on/off, so you hold or switch it and stop when the grind looks right. Expect roughly 15 seconds for a full 90 g batch.
Are the parts dishwasher safe?
The removable parts are dishwasher safe. The motor base is not; wipe it clean instead.
Is $99.99 a good price?
It is the only new price listed, $99.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, so there is no competing store to compare against. Check the price history before buying, since a single seller gives little discount pressure.
How big is it on the counter?
It measures 8.5 in deep, 4.3 in wide and 4 in tall and weighs about 1.18 kg. The cord is only 0.6 m, so plan on an outlet close by.
Where is the Krups Ultimate Silent Blade Coffee Grinder cheapest?
