Is the Krups EA872 worth it?

If you want fresh-ground espresso and milk drinks from one machine without a separate grinder, it covers both. At $585.60 at Tiny Lux as of November 7, 2026 it is a mid-range automatic, but with only one new listing there is no cheaper store to fall back on.

How big is it on a counter?

It measures about 17.3 inches wide, 17.3 inches deep and 15.7 inches tall and weighs about 18 lb. Plan for a deep stretch of counter and overhead clearance for the bean hopper.

Does it froth milk for lattes?

Yes. It has an integrated milk frother, so it can make cappuccinos and lattes as well as espresso. The frother needs regular rinsing to keep milk residue out of the spouts.

Can it brew two cups at once?

Yes. It has two brewing spouts and is rated for two cups, so you can pull a double or fill two cups in one cycle.

Does it need special pods or capsules?

No. It uses a built-in grinder and a reusable filter with whole beans, so there are no capsules to buy. You will need to descale and clean the brew group on a schedule.
