Our take on the Ktaxon 2-Burner Propane Flat Top Gas Grill 20000 BTU

The Ktaxon 2-Burner Propane Flat Top Gas Grill is a 20,000 BTU outdoor griddle with a flat cooking surface instead of grates. It runs on propane and has a two-burner layout, so you can cook on one side while keeping the other warm. The 40-inch-wide body is sized for a patio or tailgate setup, and assembly is required. It is a budget-priced flat top rather than a name-brand griddle, so check the current price against other 2-burner propane griddles before buying.

Cons
  • Assembly effort
  • Uneven heat across the surface

Questions and answers

Is the Ktaxon 2-burner flat top worth it?
It is a low-cost way to try flat-top cooking on propane. Compare its price with other 2-burner griddles, and weigh the lack of an NRTL listing if safety certification matters to you.
How big is the cooking surface?
The unit measures 40.15 x 15.20 x 33.62 inches overall. The flat top is wide and shallow, so it suits rows of burgers or pancakes rather than large roasts.
Does it come assembled?
No. Assembly is required, so plan on a session with tools before first use.
What fuel does it use?
Propane. It needs a standard propane tank, which is not included unless the listing says otherwise.
Is it certified for safety?
The specs list no NRTL listing certification. If your patio, rental or insurer requires a certified appliance, check before buying.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor grills usually drop in late summer and around holiday sales. Watch the price history for a dip below its recent range.
What do buyers say about the Ktaxon 2-Burner Propane Flat Top Gas Grill 20000 BTU?
Rated 4.1 out of 5 from 9 ratings.
