Our take on the Ktaxon 4 Burner Propane Gas Grill and Griddle Combo

The Ktaxon 4-Burner Propane Grill and Griddle Combo is a tabletop flat-top unit that runs on propane and packs four burners into a 29 x 13.5 inch footprint. It is built for griddle cooking — smash burgers, breakfast, stir-fry, fajitas — rather than for lid-down barbecue, and it needs assembly out of the box. No current store price was provided, so check the live comparison before buying.

Pros
  • Four independently controlled burners give separate heat zones
  • Flat-top surface handles burgers, eggs, pancakes and vegetables
  • Tabletop size stores easily and travels to campsites
  • Propane fuel means no cord or outlet needed
  • Widely rated 4.6 out of 5, though from only 9 ratings
Cons
  • No lid, so it cannot roast or smoke low and slow
  • Tabletop only — no cart, side shelves or wheels
  • Assembly required before first use
  • Small 29 x 13.5 inch body limits cooking for a crowd
  • Few ratings so far, so reliability is not well established

Questions and answers

Is the Ktaxon 4-burner grill and griddle combo worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a portable flat-top for burgers, eggs and stir-fry and have table space. It is not a replacement for a lidded grill, so skip it if you want to roast or smoke.
How big is the cooking surface?
The unit measures 29 x 13.5 x 11.8 inches overall, and the flat-top surface is listed at 265 square inches. That fits roughly 8 to 10 burger patties at once.
Does it come assembled?
No. Assembly is required, so plan on some setup time before the first cook.
Can I use it on a balcony or at a campsite?
It is a tabletop propane unit, so it works on a sturdy outdoor table. Check your building or campsite rules on open-flame propane cooking first.
Does it have a lid or cover?
No lid is listed. It is a flat-top griddle, so cooking is done open, which limits roasting and smoking.
When is the price lowest?
Outdoor cooking gear usually drops around end-of-summer clearance and Memorial Day sales. Check the price history on this page before buying.
What do buyers say about the Ktaxon 4 Burner Propane Gas Grill and Griddle Combo?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 9 ratings.
