Is this topper soft or firm?

Soft. The 4-inch feather fill is meant to cushion a firm mattress, not add support. Back sleepers who need firmness should look elsewhere.

Can I wash it at home?

No. The care instructions say dry clean only, so spot cleaning and a washable mattress protector are the practical options.

Will feathers poke through?

Some owners report quills working through the 233-thread-count cotton cover over time. A tight-fitting protector reduces the chance.

Does it fit a full mattress?

Yes. It measures 80 x 60 inches, the standard full size, and is 4 inches thick.

Is it good for allergy sufferers?

Feather and down fills can trigger reactions in people sensitive to feathers or dust mites. An all-down or synthetic topper is a safer choice for them.

When is the price lowest?

The best new price is $91.66 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026. Featherbeds often dip during bedding sales in January and around Black Friday.

Our take on the Lavish Home Down Mattress Topper, White, 80” x 60” x 4”

A 4-inch featherbed topper for a full-size mattress, filled with 95% duck feathers and 5% down and covered in 233-thread-count cotton. It adds a soft, sink-in layer over a firm mattress rather than changing its support. The best new price is $91.66 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026, with two stores listing it new.
