Our take on the Lazrus Golf 8-Piece Golf Set

The Lazrus Golf 8-Piece Set is a starter package for new golfers, sold with a carry bag and available in right- and left-handed versions. Eight clubs is a leaner kit than the 12- to 14-club sets most brands sell, so it covers the basics rather than every distance gap. Lazrus sells mostly direct online, which keeps the price low compared with name-brand starter sets. No current store price was provided for this page, so check the live comparison before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Lazrus 8-piece set worth it for a beginner?
For a first set it is a reasonable buy: you get clubs and a bag in one order at a low price. If you plan to play weekly and improve fast, a used name-brand set may hold up better.
What clubs are in the Lazrus 8-piece set?
The set is built around a driver, a fairway wood or hybrid, irons, a wedge and a putter, plus the bag. Confirm the exact club list with the seller before ordering, since the mix can vary by listing.
Does it come in left-handed?
Yes. Lazrus lists both right-handed and left-handed versions, which is unusual at this price. Make sure you select the correct hand at checkout.
Is the bag included?
Yes, the set ships with a bag. It is a basic carry bag rather than a cart bag with a full organizer top.
How does it compare with a 12- or 14-club starter set?
It has fewer clubs, so expect bigger distance gaps between the long clubs. A larger set costs more but covers more shots as your game improves.
When is the best time to buy it?
Starter sets like this tend to drop around spring sales and end-of-season clearance in fall. Compare the current price against its recent range before ordering.
