Levolor Room Darkening Solid Roman Shade

Our take on the Levolor Room Darkening Solid Roman Shade

A fabric Roman shade from Levolor that folds up in soft horizontal pleats and is sold as room darkening, not full blackout. It is an indoor window covering aimed at bedrooms and media rooms where you want most light blocked but still want fabric rather than a roller shade. The best new price is $32.00 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, and only two stores list it new, so the price picture is thin. Ratings sit at 3.7 out of 5 from 62 ratings, which suggests a workable shade with some fit and installation complaints.

Questions and answers

Is this shade true blackout?

No. Levolor sells it as room darkening, so it blocks most light but some still comes through the fabric and around the edges. For full blackout, look at blackout roller or cellular shades.

What sizes does it come in?

Levolor makes this Roman shade in a range of stock widths, and some sizes are cut-to-width. Check the exact width and mount type before ordering, since fit is the most common complaint.

How is it mounted?

It is an indoor shade that mounts inside or outside the window frame depending on the size. The box includes mounting hardware, and inside mount gives the cleanest look.

Is $32 a good price?

At $32.00 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is a low price for a room-darkening Roman shade. Only two stores list it new, so compare the other listing and confirm the size before buying.

Does it come with a valance or hardware?

The shade ships with its mounting hardware. A separate valance is not standard on this model, so check the listing for what is included in the box.

Can I use it in a bathroom or kitchen?

It is an indoor fabric shade, so it works in dry rooms. In steamy bathrooms or kitchens, moisture can affect the fabric and pleats over time.
