Our take on the Arlo Blinds Graphite Room Darkening Cordless Lift Fabric Roman Shade, 40"W x 60"H

A cordless roman shade from Arlo Blinds in graphite fabric, sized 40 inches wide by 60 inches high, with a room-darkening lining. The cordless lift mechanism is the main draw: no cords to tangle, and a cleaner look at the window. At $54.37 at Overstock as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forBedrooms that need light blockedHomes with kids or pets (no cords)Renters who want a fabric shade without drilling for a valanceStandard 40-inch windows
Pros
  • Cordless lift is safer around children and pets
  • Room-darkening fabric cuts most incoming light
  • Roman fold style looks softer than a plain roller shade
  • Graphite color suits gray and neutral rooms
  • Simple screw-in mounting for a standard window frame
Cons
  • Only one new price listed, so there is little to compare against
  • Room darkening is not full blackout; light can leak at the edges
  • Fabric shades are harder to wipe clean than vinyl blinds
  • Cordless lift springs can loosen with heavy daily use

Questions and answers

Is this shade truly blackout?
No. It is room darkening, which blocks most light but lets some through at the edges. For full blackout, pair it with a blackout curtain or a cassette-style shade.
What size window does 40 x 60 fit?
It suits a window opening about 40 inches wide with up to 60 inches of drop. Measure the inside of the frame, since the fabric needs a little clearance to move freely.
Does it come with mounting hardware?
Arlo Blinds roman shades typically ship with brackets and screws for inside or outside mounting. Check the box contents on the listing before ordering.
Is the cordless lift safe for a child's room?
Yes. There is no hanging cord, which is the main safety advantage over corded roman shades.
Is $54.37 a good price?
It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other 40 x 60 room-darkening shades before deciding.
