Is the LF Bros 5KW worth it?

At $299.15 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a complete kit with tank, remote and timer, which is competitive for a 5 kW all-in-one. Whether it is worth it depends on your install space and how often you need full output.

How long does the 5L tank last?

At full 5 kW output expect roughly 5 to 7 hours per tank; at half output you can stretch it to about 10 to 14 hours. Real figures vary with outside temperature and insulation.

Can it run on AC power as well as 12V?

Yes. The unit is listed as DC and AC capable, so it can run from a vehicle's 12V system or from mains power with the right supply.

What comes in the box?

The listing describes an all-in-one unit with a 5L tank, remote control and programmable timer. Check the seller's contents list for the exhaust, intake and fuel line before ordering.

Is it safe to use in a tent or camper?

It is a diesel air heater with ECE R122 and CE certification and a leak-proof tank cap, but exhaust must be routed outside. Never run the exhaust into a sleeping space.
