Is the VEVOR 2KW diesel heater worth it?

For a small, insulated van or cabin, yes. At $94.90 at The Home Depot as of November 5, 2026 it costs far less than premium diesel heaters, and it delivers the same sealed-combustion design. Expect to spend some time on installation and possibly on troubleshooting.

How does it compare with a 5 kW diesel heater?

A 5 kW unit heats a larger or draftier space and runs at lower output settings in mild weather. The 2 kW version is better matched to insulated camper vans and small cabins, where a 5 kW unit would cycle on and off and burn more fuel.

How long does the tank last?

The 10 L (2.6 gal) tank provides up to 38 hours of continuous heat. Real-world use depends on the output setting and outside temperature; at low output the pump uses about 0.12 L/h.

Does it work at high altitude?

Yes. Automatic altitude compensation adjusts the fuel-air mix for elevations up to 18,045 ft (5,500 m), which matters for mountain camping.

What comes in the box?

The heater, air filter, fuel pump, remote control, exhaust silencer and LCD panel. You supply the fuel line, ducting, mounting hardware and a 12 V power source.

Diesel heater prices tend to dip outside the heating season, in spring and summer. The current $94.90 at The Home Depot as of November 5, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range.
