Is the LG C4 83-inch worth it over a cheaper LCD TV?

If you want deep blacks, wide viewing angles and 120 Hz gaming, the OLED panel is the main reason to pay more. In a bright room, a bright LCD with anti-glare may serve you better.

How does the C4 compare with the LG G4?

The G4 uses a brighter MLA panel on its smaller sizes and is designed for wall mounting. The C4 is the step-down line and costs less, but the 83-inch C4 does not get the brighter panel.

Does the 83-inch C4 support 4K 120 Hz gaming?

Yes. It has a 120 Hz panel, four HDMI ports, VRR and Nvidia G-Sync certification, so it suits PS5, Xbox Series X and gaming PCs.

Will the OLED screen burn in?

Burn-in is possible with static logos, tickers or desktop taskbars left on for long periods. One owner reported it; varying content and using screen-shift settings lowers the risk.

Does it have an anti-glare coating?

No. The screen is glossy, so place it away from windows and lamps if reflections bother you.

When is the best time to buy it?

The best new price found is $3,149.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026. Large OLEDs usually drop around Black Friday and when a new model year arrives.

Our take on the LG 83" C4

The LG C4 is a 4K OLED TV with a 120 Hz panel, four HDMI ports and support for VRR and Nvidia G-Sync. The 83-inch size is the largest in the C4 line, so it suits big rooms and wide seating. OLED gives per-pixel contrast and wide viewing angles, but the screen has no anti-glare coating, so bright rooms will show reflections. Its best new price is $3,149.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, the only new listing found.
