Our take on the Lockey Mechanical Keyless Lever Lock 2835

The Lockey 2835 is a mechanical keyless lever lock for doors and gates. It uses push-button code entry with no batteries, wiring or Wi-Fi, so it keeps working in a power outage. The lever handle and universal handing suit most residential doors. At $139.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the three stores that list it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Lockey 2835 worth it?
If you want keyless entry that never needs batteries, yes. If you want app control, remote unlock or entry logs, it is not that kind of lock.
Does it need batteries or Wi-Fi?
No. It is fully mechanical, so it works in a power outage. Ignore listings that call it electronic or Wi-Fi; the lock itself has neither.
Can I still use a key?
Yes. It is keyed as a backup, so you can get in if you forget the code or the buttons jam.
Will it fit my door?
It has universal handing and fits standard door prep, but check your door thickness and backset before buying. Some doors need extra drilling.
How do I change the code?
You remove the lock from the door and reset the internal tumblers to a new code. It takes a few minutes and is not done from the outside.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $139.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Watch for seasonal sales and compare all three stores before buying.
