Our take on the Lucid 14 Inch Plush Gel Memory Foam Mattress

The Lucid 14 Inch Plush Gel Memory Foam Mattress is a thick all-foam mattress sold in a Twin size (39 by 75 inches) with a plush, soft feel. The gel-infused memory foam layer is meant to sleep cooler than plain memory foam, and the 14-inch height gives it a substantial, sink-in profile. It is a budget-friendly option aimed at guest rooms, kids' rooms and sofa-bed or daybed setups.

Questions and answers

Is the Lucid 14-inch plush mattress worth it?
For a soft foam mattress at a budget price, yes, especially for guest rooms and kids' rooms. Heavier sleepers and stomach sleepers may want a firmer model.
How does it compare with the Lucid 10-inch memory foam mattress?
The 14-inch version adds more foam and a plusher feel, so it sits higher and sinks in more. The 10-inch is firmer and easier to move.
Does the gel memory foam sleep cool?
The gel is meant to pull heat away, but it is still memory foam and some owners report sleeping warm. Hot sleepers should consider a hybrid or innerspring.
What size is the Twin?
The Twin measures 39 inches wide by 75 inches long, so it fits one sleeper. It works in guest rooms, kids' rooms and sofa beds.
Does it work on a sofa bed or adjustable base?
It is listed for sofa-bed use and works on a flat frame or box spring. It is not designed for an adjustable base.
When is the best time to buy it?
Foam mattresses like this one usually drop during holiday sales and back-to-school events. Check the price history before buying.
What do buyers say about the Lucid 14 Inch Plush Gel Memory Foam Mattress?
