Is the Lucid 6-inch mattress worth it?

For a sofa bed, bunk or guest room, yes. At $139.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it costs far less than a standard mattress. It is not a good pick for a heavy adult sleeping on it every night.

Is 6 inches thick enough for an adult?

It is workable for lighter adults and occasional use, but thin. Most adults who sleep on it nightly will want at least 8 inches of foam.

Does the gel foam sleep cool?

Gel-infused foam runs cooler than plain memory foam, but a 6-inch mattress still has little airflow. It is not a true cooling mattress.

What sizes and thicknesses does Lucid offer?

Lucid sells this gel memory foam line in several sizes and thicknesses, including 6, 8 and 10 inches. This listing is the Twin 6-inch.

Does it work on a sofa bed or bunk?

Yes. The 6-inch height is the main reason it is sold for sofa beds and bunks, where a thicker mattress would sit too high or block a fold.

Thin foam mattresses like this one tend to dip during big sales events. The current $139.99 at Amazon is already near the bottom of its recent range.

Our take on the Lucid 6-Inch Gel Memory Foam

The Lucid 6-Inch Gel Memory Foam is a thin, budget mattress sold in a Twin size and marketed for sofa beds, bunk beds and guest setups. The gel-infused memory foam layer is meant to sleep cooler than plain memory foam, and the 6-inch profile keeps low frames and trundles usable. At $139.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with three stores listing it new.
