Our take on the Lumintop THORIILEP Flashlight 1700m White Laser Long Range Thrower Titanium

The Lumintop Thor II is a laser-excited-phosphor (LEP) thrower, not a conventional LED light. Its white laser emitter produces a pencil-thin beam rated to reach about 1,700 meters, with a 350-lumen maximum output. The titanium body and tactical styling make it a collector-grade tool rather than a general-purpose flashlight. It is a niche buy for long-range spotting; the latest best price sits in the upper range for LEP throwers of this class.

Questions and answers

Is the Lumintop Thor II worth it?
If you need to light up targets hundreds of meters away, yes. For everyday walking or work lighting, a normal LED flashlight gives more usable light for far less money.
How far does the beam really reach?
Lumintop rates it at about 1,700 meters. That is a beam-distance figure; useful identification range is shorter, especially in haze or rain.
Is 350 lumens enough?
For a laser thrower, yes. The light is concentrated into a tight hotspot, so it reads brighter at distance than 350 lumens suggests, but it lights very little around you.
What battery does it use?
It runs on an 18650-size lithium-ion cell. Confirm the exact cell and whether one is included with the seller before ordering.
How does it compare with an LED thrower?
An LED thrower of similar size gives more lumens and wider spill but less reach. The Thor II trades spill and output for a very narrow, very long beam.
When is it cheapest?
LEP lights see the deepest discounts during major sales events and holiday promotions. Track the price history and buy below the recent typical price.
