The Lusimo Gary is a King-size upholstered platform bed with a storage headboard and a built-in charging station. Pros
  • Storage headboard adds shelving or cubbies next to the bed
  • Built-in charging station keeps cables off the floor
  • Slats included, so no box spring is needed

  • King size with a 78 in wide frame
Cons
  • Frame only; mattress and bedding cost extra
  • Upholstered frames are harder to clean than wood or metal
  • Charging electronics add a part that can fail
  • Assembly is required and King frames are heavy to move
  • Only 12 ratings so far, so the track record is thin

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with the Lusimo Gary?
No. The bed ships with slats, so a mattress sits directly on the frame. A box spring would only add height.
Is a mattress included?
No. It is sold as a frame only. Budget for a King mattress and bedding on top of the bed price.
What does the charging station power?
It is built into the headboard for charging phones and small devices at the bedside. Check the listing for the exact ports and outlet type before buying.
How much weight does it hold?
Lusimo rates the frame for up to 1,500 lb. That is generous for a King platform bed and covers most couples plus bedding.
How wide is the King frame?
The frame is 78 in wide. Measure your room and doorway before ordering, since a King frame is awkward to move through tight halls.
When is the best time to buy it?
Furniture prices dip around major holiday sales and during back-to-school promotions. Compare the current price against its recent range before you commit.
What do buyers say about the Lusimo Gary Upholstered Platform Bed with Storage Headboard and Charging Station?
