Our take on the Lux Decor Collection Quilted Down Alternative Duvet Insert Comforter, White

This is a lightweight all-season comforter filled with 100% microfiber and stitched in a box pattern to keep the fill from shifting. It is machine washable and carries Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, so the fabric is tested for harmful substances. At $28.35 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a queen-size down-alternative comforter typically costs. It is a budget pick, not a hotel-weight duvet.

Best forShoppers furnishing a first apartment or guest room on a tight budgetHot sleepers who want a light layer, not heavy warmthPeople who want a machine-washable comforter for kids' beds or petsAnyone needing a duvet insert for a decorative cover

Questions and answers

Is this comforter warm enough for winter?
It is listed as lightweight, so it suits mild rooms and summer use. For cold bedrooms, plan on a heavier comforter or an extra blanket.
Can I put a duvet cover on it?
Yes, but no corner loops or ties are listed, so the insert may slide inside a cover. Shake it back into place after making the bed.
How should I wash it?
It is machine washable. Use a large front-loading machine on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low, breaking up clumps as it dries.
Is it real down?
No. The fill is 100% microfiber, a synthetic down alternative. It is a good choice for people with down allergies.
Is $28.35 a good price?
That is a low price for a quilted down-alternative comforter, and only 2 stores list it new as of November 4, 2026. Compare sizes before buying, since price varies by size.
What sizes does it come in?
The listing does not specify sizes here. Check the store page for twin, full/queen and king options before ordering.
