Our take on the Luxystar Modern Wood Loft Bed with L-Shaped Desk, 4 Storage Drawers and Open Wardrobe

The Luxystar is a wooden loft bed that combines a sleeping platform with an L-shaped desk, four storage drawers and an open wardrobe underneath. It comes in Twin and Full sizes with a wood frame and included slats, so no box spring is needed. The best new price is $688 at Target as of November 7, 2026, with only one store listing it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.

Best forTeens and students who need a study space in a small bedroomFamilies fitting two kids into one roomAnyone who wants desk, drawers and hanging space in one footprintBuyers who prefer a wood frame over metal loft beds
Pros
  • Desk, drawers and open wardrobe are built in, saving floor space
  • Wood frame with slats included, so no box spring is needed
  • Four drawers give closed storage for clothes and clutter
  • Available in Twin and Full to fit different room sizes
  • L-shaped desk wraps a corner for a larger work surface
Cons
  • Only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition
  • Loft beds require a ladder and careful assembly, which takes time
  • Under-bed clearance is fixed, so tall users may feel cramped
  • Open wardrobe leaves clothes visible and exposed to dust
  • Full-size version takes up more floor space than the Twin

Questions and answers

Is the Luxystar loft bed worth it?
It bundles a bed, desk, four drawers and a wardrobe into one footprint, which is hard to match for $688 at Target as of November 7, 2026. It makes the most sense for a teen or student room where floor space is tight.
Does it need a box spring?
No. The frame includes slats, so a mattress sits directly on them. A standard Twin or Full mattress fits, depending on the size you choose.
How much weight does the loft hold?
Luxystar does not publish a weight limit in the specs given. Check the assembly manual or the Target listing for the rated capacity before buying.
Is assembly difficult?
Loft beds with desks and drawers have many parts and typically take two people several hours. Plan for a full afternoon and a second helper.
Is the Twin or Full size better?
Choose Twin for a child or a tight room, and Full for a teen or adult who wants more sleeping room. The Full takes noticeably more floor space.
When is the price lowest?
Only one store lists it new at $688 as of November 7, 2026, so there is little to compare. Watch for back-to-school and holiday furniture sales for possible discounts.
Where is the Luxystar Modern Wood Loft Bed with L-Shaped Desk, 4 Storage Drawers and Open Wardrobe cheapest?
At Target, for $688.00, as of our latest check.
