Questions and answers

Is the Madison Park Carson stool worth it?
At $239.50 at Macy's as of November 3, 2026, it is a mid-priced swivel counter stool with a 300 lb rating and strong owner ratings. It makes sense if you want a swivel seat and a navy accent; compare against plain wood stools if you want to spend less per seat.
Will a 25-inch seat work at my counter?
A 25-inch seat is designed for counters about 35 to 37 inches high, the standard kitchen counter height. It is too low for a standard 42-inch bar top, where you would want a 29 to 30-inch seat.
Does it come as a set of two?
No. The listing is for one stool, so order two if you want a pair. Two stools cost about $479 at the current best price.
How sturdy is it?
The wood frame is rated for 300 lb, which covers most adults. The swivel mechanism is the part to check over time; owners generally report it holding up well.
What is the seat and back made of?
The frame is wood and the back is acrylic, giving it a mixed-material look. The acrylic is the part most likely to scratch, so wipe it with a soft cloth rather than an abrasive cleaner.
When is the best time to buy it?
Furniture discounts cluster around holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. The best new price was $239.50 at Macy's as of November 3, 2026; check whether other stores have dropped below that before buying.
Where is the Madison Park Carson Counter Stool With Swivel Seat cheapest?
At Macy's, for $239.50, 21% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
