Is linen worth it for a duvet cover?

Linen breathes better than cotton and softens over time, so it suits hot sleepers and anyone who likes a relaxed look. The trade-off is a higher price and constant wrinkling.

How does this compare with a cotton duvet cover?

Linen is more breathable and more textured than cotton, and it wrinkles more. Cotton is cheaper and holds a crisp look with less care.

What sizes does it come in?

Listed sizes include 102x90 inches, 104x94 inches, 135x200 cm, 150x200 cm and 200x220 cm, with custom sizing offered. Check the size chart against your duvet before ordering.

How should I wash it?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or line dry. Skip fabric softener and high heat, which damage linen fibers.

The duvet cover only; pillowcases and inserts are sold separately. Confirm the contents at checkout before buying.

Linen bedding usually discounts around Black Friday and end-of-season sales. Watch the price history rather than buying at full price.

Our take on the MagicLinen Natural Gingham Linen Duvet Cover Queen

The MagicLinen Natural Gingham Linen Duvet Cover is a stonewashed European linen duvet cover in a beige gingham check, made in Lithuania and sold in queen and other sizes. Linen is breathable and gets softer with each wash, which is the main reason people pay more for it than for cotton. It is a premium-priced cover; its price sits at the top of the linen duvet cover range rather than in the budget tier.
