Questions and answers

Is the Magma Rubber Hex Dumbbell Set worth it?
For a home gym that needs floor-friendly hex dumbbells with a secure grip, it is a reasonable pick. At $104.99 at MAGMA fitness as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so check the weight option before buying.
What weights does the set come in?
The listing covers multiple weight options, from single 5 lb dumbbells up to large 400-pound sets. Confirm the exact weight and piece count on the option you choose.
Will the rubber coating damage my floors?
The rubber-encased heads are designed to protect floors and reduce noise compared with bare metal. They are still heavy, so drop them with care on hardwood or tile.
Are the handles good for sweaty hands?
The contoured knurled chrome handles grip well when dry. Owners report they can feel slick once hands get sweaty, so chalk or gloves help on heavy sets.
How does it compare with a bare cast-iron set?
Rubber hex heads protect floors and stay put better than round bare iron. Bare iron is usually cheaper and takes less space, but it rolls and can mark floors.
When is the best time to buy?
Dumbbell prices move with shipping weight and stock, and only one store lists this set new. Watch the price history and buy when it dips below the recent range.
