Is the 6.0Ah pack worth it over the 5.0Ah?

Yes if you run saws, grinders or outdoor tools that drain packs fast. The extra amp-hour gives noticeably longer runtime, at the cost of more weight.

Will it fit my Makita drill?

It fits any Makita 18V LXT tool and charger. It does not fit 12V CXT or 40V XGT tools.

How long does it take to charge?

About 55 minutes on a Makita fast charger such as the DC18RC. Slower chargers take longer.

Does it come with a charger?

No. This is a single bare battery; chargers are sold separately or in kits.

It is well below typical retail for a genuine 6.0Ah LXT pack, so check that the seller is authorized and the pack is genuine. The $35.00 eBay price was the only new listing as of November 7, 2026.

How do I check it is genuine Makita?

Look for the Makita label, star symbol and serial number, and buy from authorized dealers. Counterfeit packs are a common complaint.

Our take on the Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 6.0Ah Battery

The Makita 18V LXT 6.0Ah battery is a single lithium-ion pack for Makita's LXT cordless line, which covers drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders and outdoor tools. The 6.0Ah capacity is the largest of the standard LXT packs, so it runs longer than the 3.0Ah and 5.0Ah versions and charges in about 55 minutes on a fast charger. It is a bare battery, not a kit, and the only new price listed is $35.00 at eBay as of November 7, 2026.
