Is it worth it compared with a regular sofa bed?

If you need occasional sleeping space in a small room and want to spend little, yes. A true sofa bed with a metal mechanism costs more but sleeps better night after night.

How firm is it to sleep on?

Firm. The foam-over-wood futon deck gives little give, so most guests add a mattress topper for multi-night stays.

Does it fit two adults as a bed?

It opens to a twin, about 65 inches wide, so it suits one adult comfortably and two only for short naps.

How much floor space does it need when flat?

Plan for roughly 65 by 65 inches of clear floor plus room to walk around it. Measure before buying if the room is tight.

The frame, seat and back cushions, arm panels with cup holders, legs and hardware. Tools are usually included, but two people make assembly easier.

When is the price lowest?

Convertible futons of this type tend to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the MAYEERTY Modern 65 Inch Convertible Futon Sofa Bed

The MAYEERTY Modern 65 Inch Convertible Futon is a wood-framed loveseat that folds flat into a twin-size sleeper, with track arms, button tufting and two cup holders built into the arms. At 65 inches wide and 65 inches deep when opened, it is sized for a studio, guest room or small living room rather than a main family couch. It is a budget-tier import piece, so expect a firm seat and light upholstery rather than long-term daily-use durability.
