Questions and answers

Is $947 a good price for this Maytag?
It is the lowest new price among the three stores listing it as of November 5, 2026, at $947.00 at St. Louis Appliance Outlet. Compare that against the other two stores before buying, since the gap can cover delivery or haul-away.
Will it fit a 33-inch opening?
The cabinet is 32 5/8 inches wide, so it fits a standard 33-inch opening with a little clearance. Leave room at the back for the door swing and the water line.
Does it need a water line?
Yes, if you want the automatic ice maker to work. There is no water dispenser, so the line only feeds the ice maker.
How is it different from a French-door model?
It is a single refrigerator door over a pull-out freezer drawer, which is usually cheaper than French-door models at the same capacity. You give up the side-by-side door access and any dispenser.
How much does it cost to run?
It is rated at 584 kWh per year. At a typical US rate of about 17 cents per kWh, that is roughly $99 a year.
Is it counter depth?
No. It is about 33 3/8 inches deep, so it will stick out past standard 24-inch counters. Measure your walkway before buying.
Where is the Maytag 33-Inch Wide Bottom Mount Refrigerator cheapest?
At St. Louis Appliance Outlet, for $947.00, 43% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
