Our take on the McDavid Elbow Strap with Pads

The McDavid Elbow Strap with Pads is a neoprene forearm strap that wraps just below the elbow and tightens with hook-and-loop closure. It targets tennis elbow and golfer's elbow, sprains and strains by pressing on the forearm muscle rather than the joint. Sizes come in adult S, M and L, and it is latex free and FSA/HSA eligible. At $17.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with three stores selling it new.

Questions and answers

Is the McDavid elbow strap worth it?
For mild to moderate tennis or golfer's elbow, it is a cheap way to add targeted pressure during activity. It supports the forearm; it does not treat the injury, so pair it with rest and, if pain persists, a clinician.
How do I choose the size?
Measure the forearm circumference a couple of inches below the elbow and match it to the S, M or L range. If you are between sizes, go smaller so the strap can still tighten as it stretches.
Can I wear it all day?
It is meant for activity and painful tasks, not constant wear. Take it off for rest and sleep, and loosen it if your hand tingles or goes numb.
Does it work for golfer's elbow too?
Yes. The strap sits on the forearm muscle and can be positioned to press on the inner or outer side, so it suits both medial and lateral epicondylitis.
What's in the box?
One elbow strap with pads. It is a single brace, not a pair, and it is hand wash only.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $17.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Small braces like this rarely discount deeply, so compare the three stores before buying.
