Questions and answers

Is the Mecale shower chair worth it?

At $42.98 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, it is a low-cost way to add a backrest and a 350 lb rating to a shower. If you need arms to push up from, look for a model with armrests instead.

Does it fit in a standard tub or shower?

It is a freestanding plastic chair, so it fits wherever the seat and legs clear the floor space. Measure your tub width and any built-in seat before buying, since the backrest takes up extra room.

What is the weight limit?

The chair is rated for up to 350 lb. That is on the high side for a plastic shower chair and covers most users.

Does it have arms?

No. This model has a backrest but no armrests, so users push up from the seat using their legs.

When is the price lowest?

Only one store, Lowe's, lists it new at $42.98 as of November 7, 2026, so there is little price competition to wait for. Check the price history before buying if you are not in a hurry.

Where is the Mecale Shower Chair with Backrest cheapest?

At Lowe's, for $42.98, as of our latest check.
