Is the Metabo HPT C12RSH2S worth it?

At $289 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a low entry price for a 12-inch dual-bevel slider. If you need dual bevel and wide crosscuts and can leave it on a bench, it is a strong value.

Does it cut wide boards?

Yes. The sliding rails extend the crosscut capacity beyond a non-sliding 12-inch saw, so it handles wide trim and shelving. Check the exact capacity for the stock you plan to cut.

Can it bevel both directions?

Yes. It is a dual-bevel saw, so the head tilts left and right. That lets you keep the board flat and the fence on the same side for both cuts.

Is it too heavy for job-site use?

It is a full-size 12-inch slider, so it is heavy and best moved with two hands or kept on a stand. For frequent site-to-site carrying, a smaller saw is easier.

What blade does it use?

It takes a 12-inch blade with a standard arbor. The included blade is general purpose; a fine-tooth blade gives cleaner trim cuts.

The current best new price is $289 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Prices on this saw move with sales events, so compare stores before buying.
