Is the Meucci Sneaky Pete worth $460?

It is a fair buy if you want Meucci's low-deflection shaft in a plain cue. At $460 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026, it is at the high end of its recent range, so waiting for a dip makes sense.

What tip and joint does it have?

It comes with a 12.5mm Ultraskin Black medium tip on a polycarbonate ferrule and a 5/16x18 joint. That joint size fits many aftermarket shafts.

Does it come with a shaft and butt?

Yes, it is a complete two-piece play cue: a 29-inch maple shaft and a matching butt. The listed weight is 19.0 oz.

Is a 12.5mm tip too thin?

12.5mm is a middle ground. It gives more spin control than 13mm but is less forgiving on off-center hits for beginners.

Can I add a wrap later?

Yes, a cue repair shop can add a linen or leather wrap to the wrapless butt. Expect to pay extra for the work.

Our take on the Meucci Sneaky Pete Pool Cue

The Meucci Sneaky Pete is a play cue built to look like a plain one-piece bar cue while carrying Meucci's low-deflection shaft technology. This version has a 12.5mm Ultraskin Black medium tip on a polycarbonate ferrule, a Pro Taper maple shaft, a 5/16x18 joint and no wrap. At $460 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, so it is not a bargain moment.
