Our take on the Meucci MESPN Sneaky Pete Cue

The Meucci MESPN Sneaky Pete is a 19 oz play cue built around a natural maple forearm with four rosewood points, so it looks like a plain house cue but plays like a two-piece custom. It has a 12.5mm Ultraskin Black medium tip on a polycarbonate ferrule, a pro taper shaft and a 5/16x18 joint, and it is weight-changeable. The best new price is $460 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026, with three stores listing it new; that sits at the top of what this cue has recently sold for, so it is not a bargain moment.

Best forPlayers who want a custom-quality cue that does not look expensiveLeague and bar players who prefer a plain, low-key lookBuyers who want to fine-tune cue weightTwo-piece cue owners upgrading from a basic starter cue
Pros
  • Real Meucci construction in a plain sneaky pete package
  • Weight-changeable, so you can tune the 19 oz balance
  • 12.5mm Ultraskin Black medium tip suits most playing styles
  • Pro taper shaft gives a smooth, low-deflection stroke
  • 5/16x18 joint is common, so aftermarket shafts are easy to find
Cons
  • No joint protectors, extension or case included
  • No wrap, so the handle is bare wood and shows wear and dirt
  • Sneaky pete styling means no decorative points beyond the four rosewood ones
  • Price at $460 is at the high end of its recent range

Questions and answers

Is the Meucci Sneaky Pete worth $460?
It is a genuine Meucci with a pro taper shaft and a quality Ultraskin tip, and $460 is in line with other Meucci sneaky petes. If you want custom feel without flash, it is reasonable; if you want maximum cue for the money, a production cue costs less.
How does it compare with a plain house cue?
It looks similar but is a two-piece cue with a 5/16x18 joint, a 12.5mm tip and a pro taper shaft, so it plays far more consistently than a one-piece bar cue.
Can I change the weight?
Yes. Meucci builds this cue to be weight-changeable, so you can adjust it from the 19 oz factory weight with the appropriate weight bolt.
What comes in the box?
The cue itself, in two pieces. It does not include joint protectors, an extension or a case, so budget for those separately.
Will aftermarket shafts fit?
The 5/16x18 joint is one of the most common in billiards, so most aftermarket shafts in that thread will fit.
When is it cheapest?
Sneaky petes tend to dip during holiday sales and league-season promotions. The current $460 at Amazon is at the top of its recent range, so waiting for a sale could save money.
Where is the Meucci MESPN Sneaky Pete Cue cheapest?
At Amazon, for $460.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Meucci MESPN Sneaky Pete Cue?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 4 ratings.
Where can I buy the Meucci MESPN Sneaky Pete Cue?
9 stores we checked sell it, including Amazon, eBay, Meucci Cues, Break Room Billiards, Cue Pros.
