Is the CrossClimate 2 worth it over a regular all-season tire?

Yes if you see real snow and want to skip a winter set. It is 3PMSF rated, so it meets severe-snow standards, and it carries a 60,000-mile warranty. In mild climates a cheaper all-season does the job.

How does it compare with a dedicated winter tire?

It is close in snow and better in dry and wet conditions, but a true winter tire still wins on ice and deep cold. For most drivers in moderate snow, the CrossClimate 2 is the simpler one-tire choice.

Can I rotate directional tires?

Yes, but only front to back on the same side. The V-formation tread must keep its rolling direction, so cross-rotation is not allowed.

What does XL mean for this 265/55R19 size?

XL means extra load, with a higher load index than the standard version. It suits heavier SUVs and crossovers, and it often rides a little firmer.

What warranty comes with it?

Michelin covers it with a 60,000-mile limited treadwear warranty and a 6-year standard limited warranty.

All-weather tires tend to dip in spring and early summer and rise before winter. At $199.99 at Tire Marks as of November 4, 2026, this size is already near the low end of its recent range.
