Our take on the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 2565-20 Impact Wrench with M12 Battery Pack

The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 2565-20 is a 12-volt cordless right-angle impact wrench with a 1/2-inch friction-ring anvil, built for work in tight spots where a full-size impact won't fit. Its brushless motor and compact right-angle head make it a favorite for brake, suspension and engine-bay jobs. The best new price is $219.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new. That is near the top of its recent range, so it is not a bargain moment.

Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee 2565-20 worth it?
Yes if you regularly work in tight engine bays and already own M12 batteries. If you need maximum torque on large fasteners, a full-size 18V impact is a better fit.
Does it come with a battery?
The 2565-20 is commonly sold as tool only, and the listing here pairs it with an M12 battery pack. Check the exact bundle before buying, since battery and charger are often separate.
How does it compare to the M12 stubby impact?
The right-angle head reaches spots the stubby can't, but the stubby is shorter front-to-back and easier to handle in open areas. Choose the right-angle version for clearance, the stubby for general use.
What size sockets does it take?
It has a 1/2-inch friction-ring anvil, so it takes standard 1/2-inch impact sockets. Use impact-rated sockets, not chrome hand sockets.
When is it cheapest?
Prices move with bundles and promotions. The best new price is $219.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, which is near its recent high, so waiting for a kit deal or holiday sale is reasonable.
