Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 5-tool kit worth it?
For professionals who need compact, reliable tools in tight spaces, yes. The brushless motors and three batteries add value, but if you need high power for heavy tasks, consider an 18V system.
How does this kit compare to the previous generation?
The FUEL line uses brushless motors for more power and longer runtime than the older brushed M12 tools. It also includes REDLINK PLUS intelligence for better performance and protection.
What is the battery life like?
With the included XC4.0 batteries, users report all-day runtime for typical tasks. Heavy use of the recip saw or hammer drill will drain batteries faster, but three batteries help.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the hammer drill/driver, impact driver, HACKZALL, multi-tool, work light, three M12 batteries, a charger, and a tool bag.
Is this kit compatible with other M12 batteries?
Yes, it works with all Milwaukee M12 batteries, including compact and XC packs. The M12 system includes over 125 tools.
When is the best time to buy this kit?
Prices fluctuate between $349 and $449. The current price of $399 is mid-range; watch for sales around holidays like Black Friday for potential drops.
