Is the Milwaukee M18 impact driver worth it at $199?

At $199.00 at The Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, you get the driver, an XC4.0 battery, a charger and a bag. That is a fair kit price if you already own or plan to buy other M18 tools, since the battery works across the platform.

How does it compare with Milwaukee's high-torque impact driver?

This compact model is rated 1,700 in-lbs and 167 ft-lb, while Milwaukee's high-torque drivers are larger and stronger. Choose this one for tight spaces and general driving; step up only for heavy lag and structural work.

The kit includes the M18 Compact Brushless 1/4 in. Hex 3-Speed Impact Driver, one M18 REDLITHIUM XC4.0 battery, an M12/M18 multivolt charger and a contractor bag.

Does it use the same batteries as other M18 tools?

Yes. It runs on any M18 REDLITHIUM battery and is part of the M18 system of 250+ tools. The included XC4.0 pack also fits other M18 drills, saws and lights.

When is the price lowest?
