Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee 2854-22R worth it over the bare tool?
If you don't already own M18 batteries, the kit makes sense: two 5.0 Ah packs and a 19-piece socket set are included. If you're already on the M18 platform, the bare tool is cheaper and you likely have sockets.
How does it compare with the 1/2-inch M18 FUEL impact wrench?
The 3/8-inch 2854 is lighter and more compact, which suits engine-bay and light automotive work. The 1/2-inch high-torque models deliver more torque for lug nuts and heavy suspension bolts.
What is the auto shut-off mode for?
It cuts torque to roughly 20 ft-lbs once the fastener seats, which helps avoid over-tightening small bolts. It is not meant for loosening stuck fasteners; use the higher speed settings for that.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the 2854 impact wrench, two 5.0 Ah M18 batteries, a charger and a 19-piece socket set. A hard case is not listed.
When is the best time to buy it?
The lowest recent price was $481.11 on November 3, 2026, well below the $635.07 seen on November 1, 2026. Watch for holiday and tool-event promotions, when Milwaukee kits typically drop.
Does it work with standard 3/8-inch sockets?
Yes. The friction ring anvil takes standard 3/8-inch square-drive sockets, including the 19-piece set in the kit.
What do buyers say about the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2854-22R Impact Wrench Kit with 19Pc Socket Set?
Rated 5 out of 5 from 28 ratings.
