Our take on the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Drill/Impact Combo Kit with 6Ah Battery Pack

This is Milwaukee's two-tool M18 FUEL kit: a brushless 1/2-inch hammer drill/driver and a brushless 1/4-inch hex impact driver, both running on the M18 18V battery platform. It ships with a 6.0Ah High Output battery pack and a hard carrying case. The brushless FUEL motors are built for heavy trade use, so it suits people who drill and drive daily rather than occasionally. The best price seen so far is $399 at the listing dated November 2, 2026, and that is the only price recorded, so there is no lower recent point to wait for.

Best forContractors and remodelers who use a drill and impact daily
Homeowners replacing a worn-out corded or low-end cordless set
Buyers already on the M18 battery platform
Framing, decking and general construction work
Pros
  • Brushless FUEL motors give more runtime and torque per charge than brushed tools
  • 6.0Ah High Output pack is a step up from the 2.0Ah or 4.0Ah packs in cheaper kits
  • Hard case keeps both tools and the charger organized on a truck
  • M18 platform shares batteries with a large range of Milwaukee tools
  • Hammer mode on the drill adds masonry capability
Cons
  • One battery for two tools means charging between tasks on long jobs
  • Heavy compared with 12V or compact 18V kits
  • Premium price; $399 is the only price seen, so no discount history to judge
  • Charger and case add bulk if you only want the bare tools

Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee M18 FUEL combo kit worth $399?
For daily trade use, yes: two brushless FUEL tools plus a 6.0Ah High Output battery and case is a fair package at $399. For occasional home projects, a cheaper brushed kit or a 12V set will do the same jobs for less.
How does this kit compare with the non-FUEL M18 combo?
FUEL tools use brushless motors, so they deliver more power and runtime and generally last longer than the brushed M18 Compact kit. The trade-off is a higher price and slightly more weight.
Is one 6.0Ah battery enough for both tools?
It runs either tool well, but with one pack you charge while you work if you switch between drilling and driving all day. Many buyers add a second battery for full-day jobs.
Does the drill have a hammer function?
Yes. The M18 FUEL hammer drill/driver has a hammer mode for light masonry, such as brick and block, in addition to drill and drive modes.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the hammer drill/driver, the impact driver, one M18 6.0Ah High Output battery, a charger and a hard carrying case.
When is the best time to buy it?
The only price recorded is $399 as of November 2, 2026, so there is no cheaper recent point to target. Watch for holiday and spring tool promotions, when Milwaukee kits are most often discounted.
