Does it work with a MacBook?

Yes. It connects over USB-C and is listed as compatible with macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Switch and Android with Samsung DeX.

How bright is the screen?

300 nits, adjustable. That is fine indoors but dim outdoors or in direct sunlight.

The monitor and its USB-C cabling for connecting to the laptop. Check the listing for the exact cable set, since some laptops need an adapter.
